Well the manual transmission out of a TJ is a good one, i haven't researched prices on them though, the transmission is the NV3550 if you wanna look it up.. You will have to get a new transfer case as well, if you can find a wrecked TJ in a junkyard just take them both
I wouldnt pass up a really good deal if i were you, whats this jeep got in it? any pics of it?
Thought id add the reason a lot of people forgo rebuild the AX-15 is that it chews through synchronizers faster than average transmissions..
Also for reference if you dont know, TJ refers to Wrangler model year 1997-2006
YJ is 1987-1995, they never made a 1996 model year wrangler.. and JK is the new wrangler 2007-present.
