Exclamation transmission upgrade.... HELP

hey guys bare with me cause i'm sure this has been answered a million times, but i couldn't find it so anyway i currently have a 95 wrangler 4 cyl, and my tranny just went out. my motor has a ton of miles on it and i want to put a tranny in that will work for both a 4cyl and a 6cyl because as soon as my motor goes i'm going to upgrade to a 4.0.. any help i've heard that there were 3 trannys made for that year and 2 were junk.. please help i'm sure u guys got the answer. THx and glad to now be a part of this great forum

welcome to the forum

you got some decisions to make. personally if i was planning on swapping engines, i wouldn't put anymore money in the 4 banger driveline. but, if you have to fix the trans up now, and can't do the whole motor swap i'd look at swapping the trans to the ax15, which is what came w/ the 4.0, this requires some money to be spent to mate it to your 4 banger, but at least you can still use the trans when you get a 4.0.
