Traveling CF Card

I was going to do this with a bunch of fellow photojournalist but I think it'd be much better if done with a giant JEEP family. In a nut shell I ship out a CF card that fits most cameras today. each person that receives the card is responsible for taking 5 photos of the area where you live. Could be JEEPS. could be goats, could be banana trees. Whatever is predominate in your area take some photos. and then send the card to the next person. At the end we take all the photos and make a book and the proceeds will go to a very good cause like racers who are injured. We can work that out later So what does everyone think. We have people in other countries and would love to get some sponsors on this eve Is everyone onboard this Traveling CF CARD????

Guys let us what you think? Anyone want to sign up? Lets do this its so easy!!!

haha - Middle Earth. Seen any Hobbits?
North Island or South Island?

Is San Diego in NZ now?

Don't know if my el-cheapo camera will support a CF card (whatever that is).

Very good point.

IMO, the only real potential problem with submitting pictures would be the potential for people submitting ones they don't own the rights to. Since people don't think twice about pirating $1k+ software, why would they have a problem with stealing someone's photographic creation?

I'd be down with sharing some of my stuff for this. I'd suggest you look into the licensing aspect of this before you take any pictures from anyone. You don't want to print something without having that figured out, you know?

i wouldn't use CF. CF is kind of dying out and most cameras are transferring to SD. SD would be more universal for all cameras.

Sorry guys and gals. The second post on this thread was meant for another thread regarding a guy from NZ. Was too late to catch it before the ability to edit had passed. If a moderator happens to read this please feel free to delete it.

The whole idea of sending a memory card is the uniqueness of the project. Just sending me pics is just that...sending me pics. As far as the license issue, I'm a fulltime photojournalist/photographer. I deal with these issues everyday and have ways to deal with them but I appreciate the concern. As for the CF card. I'd actually send out a CF and SD card so everyone has the option of using the card that fits their camera. The name of the project just happens to be The Traveling CF Card.
