The least TL could have done is put a notice on the website. "Notice: Goodyear rebate no longer valid" would have been nice. Instead, it's just silently pulled.

TL is a great organization. But they have these perks for the purpose of increasing membership. Well, allowing this to happen isn't a good way to keep members.
I'm sorry, if I'm able to drop over $1000 on tires, the extra $100 doesn't matter... and I don't have it so well. If $100 matters, maybe the tires shouldn't.

How do you propose driving to work without tires? Or should we poor people only ride bicycles ?

You have to replace your stock ones already? I know WXman has a newer Jeep. I would be amazed if he needs 4 or 5 tires right now.

My stockers have 60k on them, but I try to look at the wear bars as extra tread

I still stand by if you're going to be looking at over $1000 for tires, $100 isn't a huge deal. You'll still be spending over $1000 on tires.

God bless America, maybe after the election things will be reasonably priced, yeah right. Silly consumers having to pay the prices that big business determines.

Some people (like me) save up every penny for large purchases and they are an investment. If i can get a $100 off that is a BIG deal. So yes it matters.

I agree, I'm a college student so I define myself as poor, and if I can get $100 off Ill take it, ill even take 10 off if I can even if it doesn't look like much, it's 10 more in my pocket that I can use for other expenses I have.

Believe me, I understand. I barely skate by, and I don't know when I will be able to afford any mod that isn't a gift from someone else. But, it isn't enough of a deal for me to threaten to sue an organization that probably made an honest mistake when people weren't notified that Goodyear backed out of a rebate deal.

That's the point being made. Is $100 off nice? Certainly. But, if it is going to make or break what you can afford when the purchase is already over $1000, maybe you need to reconsider the vehicle or the tire.

I agree, 100 is not worth a threat to sue, look above as how I resolved my problem with it. The 100 was in fact an incentive for me, along with another 100 from DT and another 60 from GY so that's 260 in savings, 160 is great and that extra 100 can go a long way if it works, my purchase has been made and it was just under a grand before the rebates, with them it drops them to a flat 700 for 4 off road tires, that is a great deal, but again I agree 100 would not make or break a huge purchase like tires, but it is a great incentive.

So the moral of the story is to sell the jeep and buy another car that has more affordable tires. Economics 101

I got a call from TL yesterday. They said they are working with goodyear to try to get it reinstated. She thought they may make progress by the end of the week when I'm supposed to get another call.

I also reached out to Goodyear at the end of last week, but haven't heard back.

So, what do I do if I recently joined TL and there was no code for the Goodyear rebate on my welcome letter?

Fantastic news. It is nice to see a positive come out of this.

Thanks.

I called the TL office today about my redemption code. There is an automated answering voice, and if you press "0" for operator as prompted, the voice tells you it is not valid. There is a spell-by-name directory, I left a voice mail for Lori with my membership number, hopefully she will respond.

Alright guys, I know this thread been dead, but I said I'd report as soon as I heard from GY, well it's been over a month and I was getting worried that my rebate hadn't processed, but I got home and well there was a check in the mail, although the rebate has now been re-established, I said I'd report back and here I am.

Yea that $60 one was quick, the TL one takes forever since its not an online one. Give it about a month+ from date you sent it out.
