Trouble identifying a Jeep.

I have been looking for what Model and Year this is. I believe this is actually a military jeep not a civilian one. Can anyone help me out this is my dream jeep.

You are correct, it is a military Jeep. It is a Willys M-38 A1

You guys are good with the jeep I.D. but the first thing I noticed was Joshua Tree country. My neck of the woods. I love it....

Don't get me wrong, it was a beautiful place. After a year and a half of desert survival classes, 125* heat and a 2 week desert portion of SERE School, I was ready to put the Mojave in my rear view.....

The snakes were cool though.

My only trip out to that area so far has been courtesy of the US Govt as well. We did a month at Fort Irwin near Barstow. It was pretty neat. I liked the snow/frost capped mountain tops by morning and the 115 degree dry afternoons. The landscapes were awesome, but 3 weeks without a shower living in a tent will make you want to leave anywhere quick.

Maybe we'll get to experience that area at our own leisurely pace one day cavediverjc..

I wouldn't mind going back to some extent. I'd like to hit up Mollie's again in Barstow. There was a bartender there that was just stunning. She should have been down the hill working in the movies.....(not adult movies, though she definitely could have done that too!!)

I gotcha cavediver. The Mojave is a big area. Some of it pretty desolate. Luckily Im on the back side of the San Bernardino's and can head up to the forest if I want to. No doubt it gets hot, especially in the lower parts.

I'm glad you mentioned the snakes. I love the reptiles.

Thanks for the ID

By the way to the people who think the girl is cute

Meet the girl in the Photo
Katherine Heigl

This is a video still of a old TV show I used to watch called Roswell

as in Roswell,New Mexico

Also, I did a little research into the Willys and found that the look is closer to the MB series than the MA and it is also a good thing I find that MB series model Willys are easier to come by and parts are not hard to find.
