I was at a local used jeep sales lot to look at a second jeep to primarily off-road with; while there i noticed a 4" lifted, huge tire rubi with an interesting "coating" underneath that completely covered everything, and the coating extended up past the pinch weld to the running boards. Its shiny, rough, bumpy surfaced and slick to the touch........ Its obviously an anti-chip / rust protectant; anybody have any idea what this is and any info on applications? I want this stuff!!!!!!
I wanna say like 140-160 or so? its pretty good stuff. My dodge is my plow truck and sees a lot of salt. and this stuff has held up great. It works really well if the underbody has no or very little rust to start with. mine is 96 and only had 28k when i bought it so the underbody was kinda crusty but it still looks sexy.
My 08' wrangler has no rust anywhere and this will be the first winter with salt she will face; i want to get this stuff before the salt hits the Chi-town burbs...... Is it aerosol or need compressor driven equipment?
They have big spray guns that put it on. Its like tar at first when they put in on but after a few hot days it hardens and all is good.
