1/5 today...
I started the day off right, with a confirmed wave on my way to work. Then it was all down hill, culminating with me sitting in traffic right next to a TJ, waving like a three year old at a Wiggles meet n' greet. Sadly, the wave was not returned. Might've had something to do with the fact that it looked like a 16 year old girl driving the thing. Apparently she wouldn't know a jeep wave if it was sitting right next to her, flailing around like a fish out of water. Sigh...the people around here suck!

I've had my Jeep for a week now, have not seen one other Jeep when I've been driving it. When I take my GMC out I see 15 Jeeps and can't wave. I haven't lost my wave virginity yet

Howdy!

You kicked butt today! :-)

I'm head to the coast this weekend, hoping for lots of waves ( from jeeps and the water LOL) and maybe some playing in the sand. I have not decided if I will leave the hotel room or not! It faces the ocean and has a fire place. hmmmm

Okay I'm in a JKU and haven't been getting waves, but it seems when the weather is warm enough to have my freedom tops off I get more waves. So I got two today.

As soon as I get the hardtop off I think more ppl will wave back.

We need to know 2 out of how many so it can add it to the running total ( see below.

Is that what you are reporting to the thread or just your own running total?

total stands at 385/654 Please add to this when you report and then be sure to put it in your post that way others can add to it too.

Thank you

2/12? that's honestly hard to believe. ADD TO TOTAL.

ADDDDDDDDDDDD

and as for me, i went 6/7 yesterday and this morning. everyone seemed so chipper this morning. great day to own a jeep, i guess (isnt every day?)

total: 398/680

i think that's every one of them...

i guess this is why it's the unofficial, nonscientific wave count. i'm sure this total is wrong

The wave is alive & well when a true Jeep enthusiast or any off roader is behind the wheel.

Less than 50 percent of Jeeps I pass in town wave, but I was going to Moab two weeks ago & was on the interstate, saw a built Toyota coming towards me, now keep in mind, the lanes were prolly 200 yds apart and approaching each other at 140 mph, at the exact same time we both put our arms out the window & did the thumbs up thing. It was awesome!! Don't tell me a person doesn't see you driving in town a 25 mph. You are either passionate about the vehicle you are driving or you are not.

I guess I'm a die hard. I still wave at em all. Half are either on their cell phones or think I'm some kind a wierdo, lol.

I also think that back in the day, only true jeepers bought jeeps. Hell, they were hard to handle on road, really rough, noisy, windy, pretty crude little pavement machines, so more people took em off road where they kicked azz on everthing!

Now, (no offence) they come with hard tops, longer wheelbase, better tires, all the electronics, bells whistles, buzzers, air bags, abs, esp, bfd......yadda fetchin yadda crappola!

So now, folks who were going to buy a car are getting these things cause the look cool. Many are clueless. They don't own tools, know what gears are, & would never get on here to chit chat & try to learn more about their jeeps capabilities. I call them happy idiots!! Good for them.

If it were'nt for them, we would be paying much more for our brand new Jeeps. And, thanks to them, the junk yards are going to be chuck full of cool parts for us to buy for pennies on the dollar. The classifieds will be loaded with great deals on their "never wheeled" jeeps. There are rich folke out there who have to have the Rubicon cause it's the most expensive, yet they never take it off road & couldn't tell you the difference between a locker & a muffler bearing, lol.

So even if they don't wave, they are still our friends!!

trying to get more into it actually. it's really intriguing stuff.

true jeepers are indeed a dying breed, but they're there.

Lol, that's cause you have the JEEP version, not the CAR version. Mine drove real good until I started working on it & making it the off road beast, imo, it is today!!!
