Undercoating

hey guys i noticed a few rust spots appearing underneath. anyone have any suggestions on what type of product to use. was thinking about using
Eastwood Rubberized Rust Encapsulator. it appears to be just some surface rust. Im looking for a product that will last me a few years atleast.

Eastwood makes some good products. Do a search for "frame rust," there are many threads on what others have used. I would not recommend the rubberized stuff as it will end up sealing over nuts and bolts and be difficult to access them if you need to. Suggest their regular rust encapsulor paint. A lot of people have used the POR 15 as well. Either product can then be painted over with chassis paint for more complete protection.
Don't forget the inside of the frame as well. Eastwood makes an internal frame coating for that.

X100 for por 15. Never, ever rust again...if prepped correctly. N Eastwood internal frame coating is also *the* best at inside frame protection. Good luck

I'm more concerned with your ball joints, tie rod ends, u-joints. My 07 looked horrible (like yours)
Check out the sticky section for a write up on death wobble. Perform a 100% steering/suspension inspection.

Above tech/general you see "common questions" and a few other threads. Sticky's are threads that are "stuck" at the top always seen.

Watch Planmans 2 videos. Front end inspection you can easily do with a helper.

For all
This is a joint that's been coated with Fluid film all Summer. 0 signs of rust

My shocks are already rusting before using FF (installed last x-mas)
This stuff has been around for a long time. I have no doubt it will work through the winter months.
