I honestly think that Wrangler Unlimited hard tops just look like hummers
{lol} I have to laugh ... a while back I told my husband it was past time for me to buy a Jeep because the Hummers were starting to look good.
If u want a true jeep get a 2 door soft top or even a 2 door hard top just keep it original.
{snort} "Keep it original"? Then you better reach back and get a 1940 Bantam, Willys & Ford prototype (yup, pulled that from
a thread in the newbie section), 'cause they were the only "originals". EVERY model since then has changed, year after year, piece after piece, and I'm 100% that will continue year after year going forward. Get used to it.
The
GREAT thing about Jeep, IMO, is that there
are so many models and variations from which to choose, and that they've been able to maintain that variety for so long. Even those non-Wrangler models, well, they're not for me, but if someone else likes 'em I'm glad they're available.

Personally, mine will be a Wrangler Unlimited 4-door Hard Rock with color-matched hard-top, automatic transmission, with all the frilly "girly" electronics, leather seats, and convenience features. Hubby's on the other hand is a Wrangler Unlimited 2-door (yes, a
2-door unlimited; 2006 might have been the last year they made those? if not they stopped soon afterwards I think), black hard/soft-top combo, manual transmissions, manual door locks, manual windows, etc.
Both of our Jeeps will go off-roading, and truth be told he says mine might even be {gasp} more capable than his from the start even after the mods he's already done to his. (Rut-ro, guess that means an increase in budget is due for his mod fund, eh?)
His is not at all what *I* would choose, and vice versa, but who the heck cares, he loves his and I'll love mine. :0)
