Unusual noise while starting to drive.

Hope someone has an idea that i have over looked for this.

Started my 2003 Jeep Wrangler 5 Speed and started to back out of the garage when i heard this loud knock from under the the jeep around the rear of the vehicle. The noise was only heard after fully applying the clutch so there was pressure on the drive shaft before the noise appeared. I heard the noise again while driving fwd also.

First thoughts where that the u-joints where going bad so i took off the rear drive shaft and and the visual inspection and operation of the u-joints where fine.

Cant see anything wrong with any of the bushings or swaybars or springs.

Any new ideas will be help. thanks

Make sure the tailpipe isn't banging on something. Mine used to knock on the trailer hitch....

I checked that also and everything seems to be good so far. I am going to just go ahead and change the u-joints on the rear shaft and see how things go after that. Got to narrow it down somehow.
