I just looked at the kit your talking about, if its good quality then yes definitely good priced. The only thing is I have not heard anything of them before and I did a quick google search of reviews of crown automotive and didn't find anything. So you could try and report back, but I have to think of the saying "you get what you pay for"

Yeah I just looked at it on jc whitney website after reading your thread. On the site I believe it says 1" solid right? The more popular companies use 1.25" OD with .25" thick walls its all DOM also. So there is a size difference and a weight difference. I don't know what the strength differences would be with one being DOM tubing and the crown stuff solid. OEM drag links are 1", but I don't know what the wall thickness is on those.

Agreed the front end keeps you going straight! I think your PO talked to my PO cuz mine is the same way only on one end though. I will get the high steer kit that is heavy duty when I I get to it on my fix/upgrade list and have the money

I know but it allows me to choose the ends I guess, but still way too much money when everything else bought and ready to go in.

Just checked that high steer thing it does have ends and a dampner, for my yj it is 279; the ends don't have the bushings with them though.

the Crown steering setup is nothing more than the ZJ's V8 steering tie-rod and the same drag-link you have now. the stock XJ, ZJ and TJ all share the same 1" solid drag link, but the V8 ZJ got a 1" thick tie-rod, which happens to be a great upgrade for up to 35" tires & fairly tough wheeling.

$200 is a good price for the whole package.

If your drag link doesn't need replaced, a V8-ZJ tie-rod is about $60 new from NAPA.
