Warn rear bumper vs?

We have a 98 Sahara and looking to replace the rear bumper. I found the warn with swing away tire carrier for $500 on cl (front included) . Just read that it's not rated for towing - when I called warn they confirmed this. That the receiver is for a basket or carrier

I like the look of smittybilt xrc

I want something kinda beefy looking - with swing away carrier - but I don't want to waste money on something that is not useable if that makes sense.

Look close, a lot of manufactures have bumpers that are "Notched" so you can use the factory type receiver hitch... Other than that about all you can do is search until you locate a bumper you like. Some are made from 1/4" thick material and are pretty heavy, others are 3/16" and a little lighter.
There are lots of Bumper posts on the JK forum.... or you can look at the Google "Images" for "Jeep Bumpers" and pick one out to look for.
One word of advice, if you want the bumper right away, make sure who ever you order from has it in STOCK !! Lots of the guys are waiting 6-8-10 weeks or more..
I like the looks and quality of the Hanson bumpers and tire carriers, first class but $$$$$....made in the USA. Others are OR-Fab, Olympic,High Rock, ACE,Fab Fours,JCR Off Road, GenRight, Rock Slide, Poison Spider...Just to name a few, there are lots of others...
I'm looking too, so good luck...hope this helps. "BH"

Was going to recommend JCR before they posted!
I have their rear bumper and love it. Was very impressed with workmanship when I received it and it's made in the USA!

UNless you just have to have a swing away..... I would recommend going with JCR's regular bumper and adding an EXOGATE to your tailgate, for the oversized spare.
Why? only 32 lbs added weight ( for the exogate) and it will handle any size spare up to 37".
JMO, good luck with whatever you choose!
