Waterspots:/ help?

I have a black jeep...and everytime i get mud on it and try to just wash it off it leaves waterspots EVERYWHERE. So then i'll get out the towel and wash it realy well with soap, water, and a sponge and towel dry it. But i do this and a few hour later it ended up raining and left, who woulda guessed...WATERSPOTS. I really didn't feel like spending an hour or two washing it again...so i just left it, but it looks SO BAD. Does anybody know how to keep these off?

Wax it.

It will help keep the water and dirt off of it.

Other than that, dry it off.

Shammies work great against waterspots. Also you might want to look at the water itself being the colprit. My folks have a water softning system in there house, and they never have issues with water spots where as where I live, we don't have that system and if I don't shammy and wax(prefer the spay on and wipe off version) then I get them too. Not as noticeable on silverstone color BUT it does show if I don't do anything about it.

PS last truck was black, I share your pain :/

Black vehicles are awesome when clean, the problem is keeping them that way. I know, I have 2.

You can also carry a microfiber towel and some Quick Detailer or something like that to get them off. I love the Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer. It's pricey but works well. It also seems to keep dust off better.

No way to keep them off if it rains or you wash it. You have to dry it or remove them if it's already dry. Or just leave it nice and muddy or spotty.

Immediately after you wash it use a leaf blower to dry it. Follow up with a nice polish and wax so the water beads up and runs off the next time.
