Went to this event over the weekend in the small and barely existent little mining town of Congress AZ. I gotta tell ya folks if you get a chance to attend a WE Rock (World Extreme Rock Crawling Series) DO IT. This was the best competition that I have ever been too. The rocks course was one of the sickest they had come up with. On Sat. I believe they had a few obstacles where there was less than a 50% completion rate. Either guys were timing out or being pulled off by the crane. We were out there on Sunday and it was amazing. The shootout of the top six to decide the champ sunday evening was probably the single greatest extreme driving moment that I can remember. Only 2 of the six made it through the special shootout obstacles and only DZ made it up a nearly vertical 9ft. ledge for the 20 point bonus line to give him the win. The rest of the guys timed out and a couple took about 20 minutes a piece to get them off of it (since the crane had been taken away).

Seriously, the only thing funner is driving your own rig on your own trails. The tickets were cheap, the people were great, the weather was near perfect and the rocks claimed a lot of metal. The drivers/teams were awesome to talk to and took the time to give any data you wanted about their rigs. WE Rock beats out the other series by far. I'll post the site so you can check it out. If you are near enough to one of their events you won't be disapointed.

Here's a bad pick of DZ on the 20 point bonus obstacle. (it was a gif I changed to a jpg to make it bigger and it is a bit distorted.

Yeah, this is what I have heard about all of these events! I have heard that they are all well put together and well run. I just wish that we had rocks in Michigan!

May 5-7 they are in Columbus, OH. Quick map put you at like 3.5 hours drive time. It would make for a great weekend trip.

Would make a great weekend trip! I will have to look into that! I have heard that the course (manmade, no rocks in Ohio either) is outstanding!

About the same distance from where I am at in PA too. I'd love to go to one of those events. Sounds like an east coast WF convention opportunity to me.
This is not a bad idea! I would be more than happy to organize (whatever you want to call it) something like that. Also, the guy that I compete with wants to make a trip down there to play one weekend in May, so maybe that weekend, we could meet and actually wheel down there? I will start a new topic to gauge the interest!

If that comp is even half as good as our last one then you all won't be disapointed from the drive. Here is the schedule for the entire year.
