Weather and topless

Do you guys pay attention to the weather before you take the top off?
Or do you say heck with it, it's coming off even if it rains.

It was raining hard last night, and I saw a guy driving his Jeep topless without a care in the world.

I tend to watch the weather, if I can avoid the hassle of being caught in the rain, I'd prefer to. I have been caught a few times and didn't care cause it had already happened.

If its less than 50% chance go for it... 50% or greater, depends on what I'm doing, where I'm going, and who I'm with..

I've kept my doors and windows off for the entire week because of the good weather, I'd take the top off if I knew how haha. But it's supposed to rain for the next week so back on everything goes.

When I lived in South Florida, I took the doors and top off the YJ for the entire summer. I didn't have AC and it would get so hot otherwise. I can't count the number of down pours I've been caught in, but I never really cared. Got a ton of waves on the interstate cruising home from visiting friends when a storm hit and I got pelted for about 40 minutes until I got it home. I had the biggest smile on my face. Some of my best memories of my YJ.

I watch the weather before my top comes down. I study the weather before my doors come off. simple showers, top comes down and stays down. No rain in the forecast, no one else is riding with me, doors are coming off.

Removing the doors isn't a big deal, putting them back on can be a little of a pain sometimes, so I make sure the weather is clear for a few days before attempting. I've been caught a few times with the top down and we got some serious wind and rain. It wasn't fun.

I usually watch and today was the best day so far this spring. A front was moving in but I said screw it, I'm going topless even if it will only be a few hours. I guess 2 hours of going topless is better than none. Now can't wait to get nekkid!

If you run just a bikini top or topless here are some tips.

Carry 55 gal. trash bags. If your jeep gets soaked when you are not in it use these to throw on the seats.

Pick up a short 12" wide blade water scrapper for the INSIDE of your windshield. Remember, you don't have wipers working there lol

Driving in the rain can be alot of fun and people think your crazy or maybe you are

That's because he's a true Jeeper.

The best Jeep wave I ever had was after being caught in a sudden downpour on the freeway and once I turned off onto the side streets I passed a fellow Jeep that suffered the same fate. Both of us waved out of the top of the Jeep. People looked at us like we were crazy.

Water dries in the sun. I say yank the carpet and don't worry about it.

If I was a 20 year old, tall, busty, blonde lady; I'd drive the Jeep bra-less in a white tank top with the Jeep top off regardless of the weather!

But since I'm just an old, fat man; I keep the soft top on & put it down on days that it's not raining.

I pretty much just look around - if it doesn't look like it's gonna rain, I trust it. *This can lead to getting rained on occasionally, but that's why you have a Jeep, 'cause it's not really a problem

20% chance of rain???? LOL! You aren't officially a Jeep owner till you've been caught 5 miles from home in a thunderstorm....

Or until you have driven an hour and a half back to your house with nothing but a tarp covering your jeep because you so desperately needed to sell your hard top in order to fund your new frameless soft top. And there is only about 200 yds visibility in this rain I love my jeep, plain and simple.
