Weird noise coming from under the shift knob

I just noticed a high pitched humming noise that is comparable to wind humming through trees. It seems to come from under where my shift knob is at. And it almost hums with the motor. Like when it revs high it hums higher. Anybody know what this could be?

Might be that the jamb nut is loose under the shift pattern insert in the knob.

It's more internal than the knob. That's just the general direction of the noise. Idk if its something with the clutch or with the engine.
