What are the differences in the different models?

Ok...I did the search thing....yada yada yada...and didnt see anything that answers my question.

What are the major differences if any in the different types of models.
Ive been looking all over for a jeep and have found a few.

One I was looking at was an Islander...
Ive heard of:
Rubicons
Sports
Unlimited
Islanders
Rio Grande
Sahara
Im sure there might be more but dont know.

I really want a jeep and was wandering what the differences are...
Thanks to everyone that replies....

If you're looking for new, your best bet is to just goto jeep.com and compare them side by side. If you're looking for used, check Wikipedia's article at Jeep Wrangler - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Don't expect to get good gas milage as well, typical gas milage is 14-16 just so you are aware. For what you have listed use, I would say get a Sport or "X" if you think you need more room (family or cargo) get the Unlimited, since has more rear leg room and somewhat of actual cargo area

well...def not going to be able to afford a sport or an X....I only have about $3,000 to buy one with. Since I live in MD I still have to pay for inspection, taxes, tags and title. Im goin to check a few local dealers and see what they have today and they will already have it inspected. Guess well see.....But more than likely im gonna have to do a private sale......Ill let you guys know what happens...
