What did you do with your Jeep on Memorial Day?

I paraded around with an American Flag on the backend of the Jeep thru Ranson, WV and small towns of Northern Virginia while on my way home from working on my car all weekend.

tore it up

Well, more like tore it apart. Started disassembly to do the frame/tub replacement. Got the battery, holder, radiator, grill, front fenders off. All of the wiring is disconnected from the body. Next phase will be to lift the body next weekend.

After that it will be a rebuilding process starting with the frame/suspension, then drive train, then tub/body.

God I hate RUST..

We drove to the various local grave yards and placed flowers on the graves of our fallen soldiers and our deceased family members.

Went to work on the yard hauling mulch out from 2 stumps that I had ground out...then went to my Dad's grave with flowers to plant...[IMG][/IMG]

Before that, watched the parade in town...the burgundy CJ3A was just repainted and repaired at the body shop I help out at...had to get some pics...the second CJ is a gentleman that is a guide to the Pennswoods Jeep Jamboree in my area. He drives this on the trails with all the other iron out there...[IMG][/IMG]

Same here, except I was no where near a pool. I was at a creek.

Stripped the top and doors off. Drove out to a field next to a dam and watched fireworks!

Wow folks, thanks for all the reponses. Didn't expect this to keep going this long. To be honest, I spent that Sunday before at a BBQ and met a Vietnam Vet, he was the Fire Control Officer on board an AC-130A Gunship. And the stories he had were telling intriging and captivating. He will have a book published shortly by end of this year. Can't wait.

Thanks All,
Dan
