If you want to make it really stand out I would do a SOA. It is alot of work but in the end you will be happy. You can purchase a kit to do it from Rough Country and maybe some others. There is a write up I just read that shows how to make your own Sway Link Disconnects and I spent about 10$ on the whole thing. Just search around and you will be surprised what you can find.

Somehow "badass" and "body lift" don't seem to go together.

Do whatever you want to accomplish whatever you're aiming to accomplish. If you want a mall crawler, make one. If you want an offroad toy, you can do that, too. If you want a camping/travel jeep, nobody's stopping you. The options are endless, just figure out what you're trying to accomplish first.

cheep and "badass" do not go hand in hand. lose the body lift and hunt down a set of Wagoner leaf springs. they are good for a little lift and some added wheel base.

What you do to it all depends on your intent. If your just gonna be a mall crawler than it doesnt really matter what you do. If your gonna offroad then it depends on the terrain your gonna go through. A mud jeep will be built differently than a rock crawler, or one for the sand dunes. Research is your friend.

My advice? Slow down. I agree, lose the body lift and figure out what you want, then go about it the right way. Read, watch and listen to everything Jeep you can. Better to wait and save and get what you really want than to just buy a bunch of cheap stuff and replace it 6 months later when you learn it's all cheap junk and it didn't get you any closer to what you really want.
