I couldn't understand a thing you posted, Deverhart, in explanation of why this site was down, exept that IT guys believe they're a messiah.

Thank you for your efforts getting this going again.

yea, it was kinda weird. i kept trying every few hours to log on with no avail. i actually went to a couple other forums just to get my fix, and to tell you the truth they weren't that great. i have a lot more respect for the people here. i even missed scouts fenders. can you believe that. crazy.

Happy belated birthday AmeriJeep...Sorry we missed it. I'm sure you'll get over it. ONce you turn 21 there is nothing left to look forward to.

I think You guys did great getting things up and running. One of our in house servers crashed and we didn't get it up for almost a week. Not saying anything bad about our IT guys...you never know, they may be watching

wow indeed at first post... its too funny to even be the slightest bit upset at the mockery. In related news we have developed better disaster recovery plans, so maybe it was best it happened. Welcome on board chazz PS I checked out OTN, and might I say not bad.

Where are you located Deverhart ?

I have a DL380 co-located at a Chicago data center and have been very impressed with them. They offer a remote reboot through a url controlled power port (can start, stop and reboot server from a webpage). You can remote desktop into the server or ftp. RD comes in really handy sometimes.
I have had a gaming server there for 2 years with very few problems at all.

Why did the forum change? It seems like some like some of the forum rooms or whatever they are called got combined and some are missing.

mike001 : unrelated change, just moving some stuff around. combining some forums...

Scoob: Phoenix az, had our box leased through a DC in houston, on a gimp hosting account now until I buy a server to colocate here in phoenix, and yes I will agree remote KVM over ip is necessary
