I thought they werent "beefy" enough(downside of working around bobcats all day ). and that the welds werent as clean as id like em to be.
but after handling the tin foil stockers, ive changed my opinion of the tnt's
as for the welds, i plan to grind em smooth and i want to use jb-weld or something similar to smooth em out as much as possible.
then theyr off to go get painted :

I didn't do anything to the welds on mine. I just left them as-is and they look fine to me. I agree about the "beef". You have to compare them to the OEM to understand how much more metal is actually there.

Did you get a good price on the paint?

Nothing real expensive in fact free. I blew my head lamp last night and had one from my cherokee ( I upgraded the cherokee to silver star and had these in my garage) It is a small step but well things are tight and a fun toy is only getting gas to drive it for now.

went to a local tire shop.. the only place i would go for tires

dropped my rims off and going in the morning to get them mounted with some pro comp m/ts 33x12.5..

hes fixing a stud that discount tire broke and hes giving me a free set of silver lugs for the rims i have.. even though i have a set.. i'm missing one of them bc discount tire stripped it.. its been off my jeep since i got my tires rotated at discount tire like a month ago..

cost me 100 bucks less than any other tire store here in kokomo.. pretty much matched the price of the cheapest place i could get online for tires only.. with the buy 3 get one deal

also.. i get free tire repair through out the life of my tires..

the best the other shops could do was to get the tires in sometime next week.. i've waited two months for new tires.. no way i was going to wait longer

I tweaked the mounting holes on my driver side tube fender. one more little adjustment and it'll be aligned perfectly and ready for paint

the 35s will be installed this friday morning. on the weekend i will install the flares, the tire carrier and the ARB compressor, switches and cables.
on monday i´ll bring my jeep to a company that´ll put the gears and lockers in my axles.

but there was a problem.
they sent me the right gear and install kit for the rear D44 but the things for the front were for a CJs D30.
now i have to wait for the right TJ D30 parts. they left their shop this evening and i hope they´ll be here just in time. the last package needed 6 days.

you wrote that you picked it up at a body shop. that made me think about some airbrush, pin striping, ot something like this.
with the normal black paint it´s a thing of less than half an hour.

yep. spools and mini spools lock both of the axles together.
a spool replaces the whole carrier and a mini-spool replaces the spider gears.

Mini-Spools are cool. Can be a pain in the butt to get in the first time, but wheeling you will love it.
