And Nicolas, yeah it might load up a bit more on the road and excessive street driving will in fact wear out the tires a helluva lot faster than normal, but for a mostly trail driven rig a spool or mini-spool is great.

it's a "good" thing that I have a 30minute commute every mourning to work, then an hour to school after work (then 30minutes back home)
at least theres a wheeling spot 5minutes away from work and another one 5minutes away from school

does the cross shaft come out of the d44 the same way as a d30?( by tapping out that little rolling pin?)

i installed my 35s and the hardtop.
when the bestop tire carrier with the 35" tire i intalled i will put some 2-2.5" spacers on top of all four OME springs to get some more lift and to level it out. some 1" bumpstop extensions are also waiting for their installation...

now my "runicon" looks grown up. not like a child with small feet.

that are 8.5x15 "excentric centaur" wheels. only 420$ for 4.

tomorrow i will intall the bestop tire carrier and a 35" spare. then i will level the jeep out and add 1.5-2" more lift with some spacers.

thanks.

i tested the flex on a ramp this evening and i only need 0.75" bumpstop extensions to avoid rubbing.

i the last few minutes i looked at the ARB switches and cables. i think it´s very easy to intall all this.

did the hardest wheeling ive ever done. my local jeep club is helping reopen a local offroad park (interlake). i got to run through all the old overgrown trails, used some trees to "help me turn", pivoted on some rocks, and HAD to have a spotter for some blind downhills. i came prepared with everything but a change of underpants...
i might post pics up later, but if you click on my facebook link below i got a whole album of it.

i installed the ARB switches and compressor:

then i tested how much i must extend the bumpstops with the 35s.
at the front the bumpstop has contact to the axle while it rubs a bit:

the same at the rear:

i'll add 1" bumpstop extensions, that's enough.

and then i played only a bit:

dang nico...thats a good pic of why extended bumpstops are needed...so that you don't overcompress your coils.

i think at the front 1" longer bumpstops will be ok.
but at the rear? the spring looks very much compresed.
should i better install 1.5" or 2" bumpstop extensions?

with the OME suspension came 1" extensions, but i didn't install them.
do you think they will be enough?

not any of me doing stuff cause i had both hands on the wheel, lol. Interlake has so much potential though, unbelieveable terrain. it has mud pits, BIG hill climbs, rock gardens, MANY MANY trails, everything ranging from stocker trails to pretty much buggy only. they have a toys for tots ride this saturday if anyone near by is interested its open to the pubic for the first time in 3 years.

Those look like some pretty cool trails, was the roll over already there, or was it somebody in your group? It looked kinda like a golf cart?

yea, that was some POS car (top sawzalled off lol) thats been there for like 10 years the the DNR wanted us to drag out. we actually tore every tow point off the body so we ended up wraping a chain around the whole body and using 2 jeeps to pull it at once. i wish i could have taken more pics, but i was driving the whole time unless someone got stopped so those are the only ones i could snap. next week i will have a passanger and MANY more pics.
