Umm...I'm far from being a mechanic but my guess would be no. See if he'll travel. Axles under the Jeep are a good thing.

Remove the drop pitman arm and install the stocker one, then remove the drop bracket since you dont need that junk, at last install your new adjustable control arm and use that to center your axle. Thats the reason why people install the adjustable tbars because they want to REMOVE the leverage caused by the dpa and the bracket.

A drop pitman arm and drop track bar are both needed when you do one or the other. If you install a DPA you need a drop(or raised) track bar bracket to keep the drag link and track bar parallel. Neither of them put any stress on anything. Only the larger tires put stress on the suspension and steering. The skinny drag link is the only thing being stressed.

Also - how does a control arm center the axle? I thought thats what the track bar (panhard) was for?

have you seen what a DPA looks like? How about a drop bracket?

Scout since you have a lot of experience with that thing, uuhhhh how does leverage work?

The further you space something apart the more leverage it gets so the mounting point needs to be stronger. But neither does the dpa make the steering thing stronger nor the drop bracket make the stock bracket stronger. BTW I DID SAY TO REMOVE THEM BOTH AND INSTALL THE ADJUSTABLE TBAR ALONE DID IT NOT?

my bad on the control arm.. its a tbar just like i said it few more times in my post.

Doesn't matter. If you have 3" or 5.5" like Scout. If you do one, you must do both.

right but both put more stress on the rest of the components vs the stock components that are closer to the mounting points, thats why they are not needed with that amount of lift and thats why i recommended for him to remove both and just use the new tbar.
