They didnt come with tape, i had some at home laying on the side so i used it. I used tape on every surface that contacts the jeep. It doesnt rattle or anything like that and the tape seems to be holding on strong. It looks pretty nice too.
got 2 new members in our jeep club.. put their stickers on their jeeps.. and also helped swap out a tc in a yj.. it wasnt too bad for the first time..
my buddy got his yj for 300 bucks and an old set of rims he had sitting in the garage.. the people he got if off of was driving it in 4h because the d35 spider gears were all screwed up.. we swapped a rear in a couple weeks ago.. whoever had this jeep did soo much things wrong to it.. the center console is held in with wood screws and they used beer bottle caps as washers.. only to mention some of the minor things wrong with the jeep.. the jeep didnt have 4l which is why we put in a new tc.. it was from a newer model yj.. and we had to swap some parts off the old one to get it to work.. pretty simple tho
I didn't get to do anything on my jeep except wheel it
get a stick through the sidewall
then get another tire mounted and balanced so I had a spare
then I went wheeling again and had a rock cut a sidewall
but anyway I was getting ready to head back out when a friend dropped off his jeep for me to install a few products
he has a crushed oil pan so I have to replace it
and I am replacing his stock gas tank with the gen right crawler tank
did that this afternoon
and I am installing the ford taurus 2 speed electric fan
I already did that install on my jeep
Wheeled piss out of mine this weekend and then yellow duct taped the tail light back on for the ride home. Gonna get the hole saw out this weekend and flush mount them.
well went wheelin up at browns camp here in oregon with a few friends and tested out some more of the jeeps capabilities beyond what I've done before... started fixing my hard top its comin out pretty damn good. got a new magnaflow exhaust cause my flowmaster went to shit. started rewiring my lights so I can get all them working again. I'll post pics up when I have a chance sometime this week or so.
im going to pull my front and do the same sometime in the next week or so..
also i ordered a d44 that im gonna clean up and paint as well before i install it..
^ i cant wait for it to get here.. my jeep has been sitting in the garage for a month now with bad drum brakes.. local shop wanted 300 in parts alone (cheapest i found here in town)
also sand blasted my power steering skid plate and prepping it to paint
My front tires were rubbing the front lower arms. I could have adjusted the stops but I didn't want to lose any turning radius. Besides, I gained a little stability with the wider track.
Took my doors off for the 1st time.........................
