Googled 'gas price' + zip code, and it was the first link.

Yeah we complain a lot over here about having to pay $3.00 USD for gas but we forget sometimes just how damn expensive it is for gas over there in Europe. $7.65 for gas is crazy, how do you afford to fill up your TJ on a regular basis??!! I usually put about 18 gallons in when i fill up my tank, thank would be about $138.00 a tank in Germany!!! I feel bad for you guys over there in Europe!!

Basically I called some shit out in a Moderator Forum over there that the owner didn't particularly like. He decided that I no longer needed to be a part of the board. Our close group of friends here in AZ are really tight and when you come after one of us all of us get on the prowl. That's what I was doing. Now my buddy Fatbob is stirring up all kinds of shite over there right now.

Did not do this today, It has actually been a couple of weeks ago, but I wanted to share anyway.

I got my new to me tires for the new mods that will be happening to my rig .
These things are nice.. Got 5 tires and 4 beadlocks and one plain rim.
These things look to be about 3" taller than my Iroks, they only have about 10psi in them right now.
They are gonna look good on the jeep.. And I think I am gonna leave them the color they are !!

Here are all 5 tires and rims

Here they are compared to my little girls and beside my jeep

And here they are beside my beautiful wife.. She is saying Happy Birthday Honey !! ( I have a great wife !!

that forum has been getting dumber and dumber. started as a good place to get in on trail runs but now i've got all the contact info of the people I like to wheel with so that sites lost it's purpose for me other than to hear about the occaisional trail cleanups.. I can't deny though, it's funny as hell to read the arguments that go on there

Actually I would go with the engine skid first. The stock gas tank skid provides some protection although it isn't much.

Leaking oil pan or leaking gas tank? I'd rather have a hole in the gas tank than the oil pan.

What year TJ do you have? A 15 gallon tank used to be standard and 19 was an option until 99, then then in 99 the 19 gallon became standard. I have a 99 so it has a 19 gallon tank and i drive til my gas light is on and then some. It's pretty empty when i fill up and when i fill up i usually put in between 16 and 18 gallons.

I'm messing withya man. But seriously the two biggest targets under the jeep (IMO) are the tcase skid and the gas tank.

I know you are and that's why I had a smiley.

I always say get all the armor you can but start with the most important things first.

i gave my used 35" bias claws to a friend and bought some new tsl/sx 38" tires. They say they are really 37.4 so thats what I'll call them I needed (wanted?) something taller than my smallish 35" bias claws

anyway, a few minor changes will be needed for my new 37.4" swampers to fit and work just right...

I'll talk more with Joe Daro (absolute offroad) about it to see if he can adjust my wheelbase just a little in the back to push the axle back just a hair. The rear tires contact the front of the rear wheel well pretty good. Last time we talked he had a concern that we keep enough thread engagement on those rear arm joints if we lengthen even just a little. Right now the thread are at full engagement so I think I have some threads to spare. We'll have to think of something else if that doesn't work (smaller tires? --- hope not. lol). Maybe a real stretch/comp cut/and relocate the tank?! that would be cool but I'm not ready for it yet.

Also going to put on some 1.25" wheel spacers to avoid rubbing and groove the tires for better traction.

Here are a couple quick photos from my camera phone...
