i went and checked out a new trail today. there were some HUGE major rocks. still a little weary after getting stuck in the creek. so i just went through a little stream that i knew for sure i'd make it through...i did go over a few rocks.
Drove about 50miles to rescue my sister. One of the idler pullies on her ZJ decided to end its crappy little life. Replaced it with a new one after 45min of work and we were on our way home. WOuld have been done sooner but the nut on the back of the pully's bolt fell between the Alternator mounting and the engine block causing a bit of a tizzy and me shouting at the jeep gods.
Location: Under the hood of the jeep from hell (not mine)
I went full synthetic (royal purple all except valvoline for the motor) front to rear.
If there's a will, usually there's a way, but then you get to that bolt that you still can't get to with two extensions, two universal sockets, and a contorsionist midget trying to help you.
1999 XJ Four door, mostly stock for now, but I am in the process of building a custom plate bumper.
I installed a AA SYE with a Tom Woods D-shaft. I also installed the Nth Degree adjustable rear upper control arms. I did it the weekend before last and everything is working great!! Should have done this much sooner.
Did that, didn't fix it. She doesn't really like driving it since it's been lifted and gotten the bigger tires. The first time she drove out on a trail, she dragged the TX case skid over a rock, the noise freaked her out so much, she got out and walked to the end of the rock garden. I assured her that it was Ok, but she was sure that she was going to break something and didn't want to be a part of it.
I got my Bestop Bikini top, Wind-jammer, Duster and Trail Cover. They are all "spice" to match the half doors.
I just finished attaching all the hardware...It's calling for rain tomorrow, So I may not get a chance to put it all on until the weekend. Schawheeeet!
Ordered a Bestop duster and windjammer for my Jeep to try to prevent ALL the water from rolling off the bikini top, around the speaker bar and down the back of my neck. Stupid rainy season, I can't wait till it stops so I can take my doors back off (and then put all my covers in storage).
