Nice. I like it very much. I think the shock issue is my fault. I should've known better to have that much rear flex and not limit strap it up front. It allowed the axle to hang off the shock and with the comp claws and 17's it was a bit too much for the new upper shock mount. It bent and broke the shock eye. So I'll replace the shock and put a limit strap on it and call it good. Might gusset the shock mount a bit too. This will be a production kit in the near future, but Lance and I are still messing with it a bit. Difference between his and mine is that he already had a limit strap in the rear so he hasn't over extended it's full droop.

Yesterday, wheeled mine for a while, brought it home and detailed the interior, and washed and waxed the exterior. And then drove it to work today.

his jeep peed on you? That is an alpha male dominence thing and humping comes next so watch your back!

seriously though, my jeep had overheating problems recently too. The thermostat stuck closed and it quickly jumped from 210 to 260 in a flash. No busted hoses or radiator though fortunately. I replaced the upper hose anyways as I was replacing the thermostat. And I'm keeping new hoses in the jeep as spares just incase. I really worry about the stock radiator though because I hear it can "pop" the plastic top/bottom if it overheats too quickly and pressure builds fast. I'd like to get an all aluminum/steel one just to be safe.

yesterday i used metal ready on the inside of my frame so now once it dries it's ready for the por15. My way to get the inside of the frame was to use a spray bottle and soak inside and then a old fishing poll with all the eyes cut of but the last one. I tied a rag on it and soaked it in metal ready and ran it up in down the inside of the frame. Then I got to hose out thge frame and made a mess in the garage and had to clean up with the wet dry vac.

I think you'd be fine in Die Hard. You have the right armor and the right attitude.

No i do not have xenon ones. I have regular halogens from silverstar or whatever those are from autozone. Its a bit brighter than stock however they are not impressing.

I used a long thing of metal i had. It looks like a slim metal ruler. "i think its called a flat. I undid the 2 screws holding the dash right by the door and pulled the dash out just a bit to slide the metal piece inside there. Then bolted the screws back on and bended the metal as i needed. its pretty strong and its mounted to metal, not plastic.

It measures vacuum inside the intake manifold.

^ this is one of the reasons why i wanted one but also you can drive more efficiently by measuring how much vac is in there which relates to how much the throttle body is open vs rpm of the engine.

Using this i can pretty much see if any mods lessen or increase engine load.

Well that depends on how much you're pressing the gas and depends if you're accelerating or just cruising at specific speed or whatever. But yes a bigger intake pipe will help lessen the vacuum however it doesnt just depend on the intake pipe. There is also other bottlenecks in the system such as the throttle body or the ports on the head.

Well I raced a 240sx with a turbo runnin 6psi this morning from a roll (about 25-30mph) and got him from the start but when I hit 3rd it was all over for me.
SO.... I went and bought a new carb and and installed it this afternoon. We'll see what happens at the rematch. LOL

Seriously though the old carb as been giving me fits for the last few years and I had actually ordered it a few days ago so it wasn't like I just ran out and bought a carb so I can beat a 240.

Ohh and I got one front fender done now I just need to paint the other.

drove it to the mall today..

funny story.. i was wearing a pair of white/baby blue/navy blue nike shoes (30 bucks from a nike outlet store) and a white and baby blue boston redsox hat..

some kid followed me around the mall all day.. i went in foot locker looking for some baby blue shoe strings for my shoes and i saw a pair of jordans and was like damn im coming back on friday to buy em..

well as i was leaving this kid came up to my jeep and was like ''ill give you $200 for your shoes and your hat".. i took it.. but i lost my FAVORITE boston hat that is almost 3.5 years old and in mint condition.. ill never find one to match it either.. he was like "yah i heard you say you wanted those jordans and i want your shoes so ill help you out"

so i ran in the mall barefoot to buy my jordans =D

locking gas hatch

Didn't want to spend the money on something like this - but for about the price of a tank of gas I figured it was worth it. Lots of reports of siphoned tanks around here lately. The $59 Rampage ones are almost impossible to find, back ordered for like 2 months, but I managed to find the AMI. Better quality I hear but about $20 more.
