That's not a dent. It is a trail badge, no matter how you "earned" it. It happened on the trail.

Be proud!!!

Now if it happened in the mall parking lot, you could gripe.

Yeah, but I still don't feel that way. It was just stupid jerky behavior which makes us all look bad.

Bingo Chris. That is exactly why when lifted jeeps or trucks go by a lot of people kind of snarl at us.

Hey, mines a worse story than that. I was parked in front of the barn rounding up the horses to feed and one of the mares went over and bit a chunk out of my bestop duster.

That's on of those "that's not my job" pictures.

There was another one where a tree limb was lying on the side of the road and as they striped the shoulder they went around it. Funky lookin.

The cylinder hooked up to the steering knuckles is a hydraulic ram. The hoses run to an orbital valve that acts as the steering "box". It will determine how much fluid to pump in and out of the ram.

This is the orbital valve.

The power steering pump runs pressure to the orbital and draws fluid from a reservoir just like a stock setup. You are correct that there are no drag links or mechanical linkages that connect the axle to the frame. As far as drive-ability, I haven't had the opportunity to drive it yet. It hasn't moved under its own power yet either. But sitting in the shop turning 31" tires is capable with my pinky finger with very little effort.

MR C. Your Jeep is coming along great. I think you have more money tied up in that front axle than I do in my whole Jeep.

Don't remind me. I wish the front axle was as cheap as the rear axle. I have about 1200 bucks in the rear.
