removed the factory side steps(had to take out the freakin' drivers seat to access a bolt) & slapped on my black diamond plate sides. Then, in anticipation of my lift(scheduled for 10-30-10) I mounted the spare. CAN'T WAIT!!!

BEFORE, AFTER, & SPARE TIRE MOUNTED:

So I let it sit in the driveway for a little extra time before I went in search of a car wash.

Also took the top off for a few hours, since it was a pretty decent day out. Probably not many more of those left this year.
last time I played in the mud I got stuck. Now I stick to dry ground or at least mud that isn't 3 feet deep on a 2 foot frame LOL

Those are the worst! And it sees like none of the bolts are the same size! Plus they each cost like 5 bucks a piece. Lol

what was supposed to be a 30 /40 minutes job end up being a 3 hours job.. and by the way, for the 98 tj 4 banger, dont trust what the computer says at autozone, I look up the bolt with the sales guy and they were the wrong one..... they have a long and short bolt in the computer, well, the long one is too long and the short one is way too short. both supposed to be the same lenght.

Cool Banks Power

Yesterday I switched the stock air intake for a Banks Ram Air.
Today I switched the stock exhaust for a Banks Monster Exhaust! I love it; not too loud at normal RPM's, really screams when it needs to. Already can see a little mpg improvement.

Cut 8" off my tail pipe. Now maybe it won't get bashed on the rocks since it hugs pretty close to my Rokmen gas tank skid.

Went to the boneyard for parts. Replaced horn button, light bucket retaining spring and lighter. Don't smoke just hated the empty plug in dash.

oldgus: wise choice matching the angle of your skid....looks nice!

I removed my front and rear "milkjugs" today, just for the heck of it. Has a little more character now. It turned into a 30 min project when it should have only taken 10--one of those pesky little clips that the bolts feed through tore lose from the plastic jug and just spun like a crazy tornado inside the front bumper where it was difficult to access. Of course it was the LAST one (Murphys Law). But I prevailed.

Had my stock battery load tested and it showed "bad battery". Reserved my Die Hard Platinum 3478DT from Sears. I will have it installed free next week. Warn M8000 soon to follow.

Discovered a nice little dime-sized bullseye crack on IDR's windshield that had started to form a crack outward. The crack was obscured by my smog check sticker, so I didn't see it until just now. Glass place said not much could be done, but they did seal the outward crack so hopefully it's at least been slowed down if not stopped.

Naturally, IDR was feeling a little down in the dumps after that, so I bought her those Rain-X Latitudes she had her eye on to cheer her up
