Picked it up from the shop, paid for it and happily brought it home! Oil pan gasket leak, pinion seal, and brake cylinder seal leaking. At least it wasn't the transmission! Don't know what the previous owner did to cause my baby so much stress but at least they are taken care of!

And today I'm putting in an iPod connection in the stock stereo! I have to have my music but don't want to invite trouble by getting a new stereo. Then I'm going to fix some wiring in the dash of the '98 because I'm having antenna issues with that stereo (not stock).

Thats what she said

Nah there was a hole between the CAT and the muffler, and the gasket between the CAT and whatever you call the pipe coming from the manifold was shot and it kept loosening my bolts, so I got a new gasket and new bolts

Now it purrs

  • Removed mirrors to prime and repaint them. They are still off and should be ready to put back on tomorrow.
  • Washed, Clay-barred, and waxed.
  • Replaced the air filter with a K&N.
  • Attempted to use a heat gun on my fenders but I wasn't happy with the blotchy results (may be because it is too cold out). I decided to just wait until spring to shoot them with krylon.
  • Later tonight, I'll make a shopping list for X-mas presents for the wife to get me.

Finally made a decision on making my jeep a trailer jeep. It's going to be sad not racing people on the streets but will be the best for all. Planing out how to build a trailer out of a boat trailer.
