Today i put on a Magnaflow turbo muffler! Its purrs like a kitten!!! Friday i am installing a KandN air kit... I may also put in a Performance chip to add more hp.. Just by the muffler and the air kit, that gives me about 25 extra horsepower..

You know, I've always wanted to know for sure what increase that will give you. I'm sure the manufacturers of both pieces claim 10 - 15 horse. One of these days I'm going to throw my Jeep on a Dyno to see what all the mods gave me.

What did I do for my Jeep? I took the weedwhacker to the weeds growing around it. I did, however, finish cleaning out the garage so I can get it back inside and get to work.

I adjusted my rear brakes to fix a pedal travel issue my wife had with the Jeep. Barely press it now, almost like thinking about stopping, and the brakes start to grab!

Thanks, mrblaine!

You spent a little more than 200 bucks to get that extra 12 HP though.

I need to boil down a cost per horsepower figure to get a real estimate of the beneficial gains.

You might not want to do that Andy. It'll probably make you mad and cry in your Corona.

.. those 15-25 hp manufacturers are claiming are crank hp or usually made up.. at the wheels you will get maybe 1/2 that if they are honest or lot less if they lie.

Mr C.. i dont know about Germans and Mexicans but i know I and illegals getting my benifits dont mix good.

x2...if you even got a 1/4 of that gain it would be at very very high RPM's that i hope your not at during any of your driving.

from memory of my old life in the racing world.. turbo or a supercharger seemed like the best bang for the buck as far as hp/money ratio goes

It should sound better once I get some oxygen sensors installed. The LT1s timing is computer controlled and mine has no idea what is going on so it is running really rich!
