You aren't kiddin. I told myself I wouldn't spend so much money on wheels this time. But I really like them. LOL. I just told my wife I spent her money so I still have some left.

I'm calling Jessi at highangledriveline tomorrow with measurements for my drive shafts. That! Will be another expensive day!

Yeah, the new TR's are pretty sick looking. Especially since they are starting to cast theirs as one piece like Walker does. Will make mounting them SOOOOO much easier. You had the internal BL's before right? At least you can get some change back selling them.

And lookin for another 1k day tomorrow too. But at least it's that much closer to being done. What 2 weeks if everything ships right?

My tires are going out today. The wheels will be here within 14 days. Sometimes faster sometimes the full wait. I got them with the full polished rock ring so I won't have to touch up some powder coating. LOL! Not sure on drive shafts cause I have to rebuild the tcase first for the proper measurements since I'm running a 2 piece up front with his flanges. The JB stuff will be here soon enough.

I'm really hoping that mounting those tires will be easier than the last time. I had the double beadlocks from Hutchinson and I mounted them dry!

They make a 41" radial in something crazy like a 20" rim. But they aren't near the tire of the bias ply 42.

Well, It got easier after the first one. I pushed the top rim half in just a little off from the air channel. I had no idea how to get it back apart. Took me forever to get it out of there. It was hell trying to get them apart when I split up the wheels and tires. Someone even suggested using the soapy water trick, which helped, but not much!

Thanks. I've been looking at the IROK Radials. They seem to make a decent tire @ a reasonable price. I just need to do some checking to see if the size I'm looking at will fit my cheap arse black steelies.

Don't see why not. I'm putting the 42/14" tires on a 8.5" wide tire!

Which size are you looking to get?

Scout are you running 15" rims now or still the stock 16" (Size) for Rubicons?

Hackle runs 40" Iroks and loves them too. Both for the functionality and price.

390 a tire is hardly economical.

I'm looking at the 36x13.50-16.5LT IROk Radial and mounting them on a 16x8 wheel. Do you think they'll fit?

Still the 16's. I have a set of black steelies and my stock Moabs. I'd like to keep both sets of wheels. I'd hate to have to buy ANOTHER set of wheels when I already have two sets.

Wanna buy my 315/75R16 MT Claws?

Damn Andy, even Desert Rat has the ones you are getting for 350 a tire.

That's one of the reasons why Jim (Hackle) has stayed at the 39.5". 260 a tire is better than 350 for the 42's.

Sorry Scout, but a tire made for a 16.5" rim will not fit on a 16" rim. You need to either sell your rims and change size by going to say a more popular 17" rim or look for straight 16" sized tires.

Oh, and no I don't need your 315's. I've already got 35's and need to step up to 37's.

when you factor in shipping the larger tires that have to go truck freight they get expensive.

Yeah, Even FedEx ground they are going to charge 200 for shipping on 5 of them. I only bought tires once from out of town and I got lucky, found this site www.onlinetires.com that MT Claws and it only cost me like 65 bucks to have 4 shipped from CA.

AZ, you gotta pay hard to play hard.

It would be a 35/12.5R16 so all you'd need is a 16" wheel. It sure would be expensive to ship to Smelly ol' Chicago.

You'd be fine with the 36's then. However you'd want Alloy's front and back. Swampers are heavy tires.
