Thumbs up Overhead Console 98% done

Hey all,
After working the wiring and routing them and the antenna cable. All I got is hooking up the power and ground. I'll post better photos tonight. I mounted the CB, aircraft maplites with switches, and the CB speaker box. Oh, I also had it powder coated matted black for longer lasting. Dan

Check it out:

I made it from scratch and took alot of time to research to the original designer. He no longer makes this console, due to he is recovering from a stroke over a year ago. But I asked Doug Chartier (the original designer) if I could use his design. I added the lights and the speaker box. I went with this design because it was small and thin and is sturdy as heck. The others out there look too bulky or overdesigned for my standards.
Dan

Here's a link of the the thread I found awhile ago that I used to make mind from, it's not very informative.

Dans65,
That CB rack looks cool but not very theft-proof. How did you secure this so you won't be unpleasantly surprised one day when walking back out to your Jeep after shopping for an hour at Walmart?

I drove it today. Ever since the stang hit the driveway, the Jeep has been taking a break. Today I'm ripping the top off & taking it for a spin!

Smittybuilt also makes a nice one that secures. Check out their online catalog. Probably what I'll pickup at my local store.

Yeah, it's not too theft proof, but, it will take a bit for a thief to steal it though. And if I plan on, let's say stay the night somewhere or whatever, it won't take long to remove it and stow it in a security box.
Dan

PS
I'll stay away from Walmart from now on!

Ooh, I just purchased a tow bar for the Jeep to tow behind my truck, if need to... Of course!
