I went with an Engo winch, it's gotten some pretty good reviews. Chris with Truck Add-ons is a vendor here got me a pretty good deal. He's got a 9k for $289 but I went with a 12K for $309 and free shipping.

I just called superbright to get a replacement led bulb one quit working on me after 1 day. They were very easy to deal with.

Installed my new factory style rocker for the KC fog lights. I didn't like the switch that came with the light kit. This switch doesn't look out of place. The old switch was mounted on those two little nubs down below for like 5 yrs.

The instructions on the install were pretty lame I thought I mean I could figure it out cause I'm pretty advanced on cars and accessory installs but for most people they might have a hard time mounting a winch. I love it so far, do you have yours on?

Cleaned my battery terminals. I started her up this morning and moved it out if the driveway it ran fine, like an hour later I went out to go somewhere and it had a hard time starting (like a dead battery) and staying running. Then got up the road a little and the amp gauge pegged out at 19 don't know it might need a new alternator....

No lights? Headlights? Did you bust the battery from hitting the ditch?

Nope the Battery is totally intact no leaks no fluid no spills, and I didn't " hit " the ditch I drove through it like it I was offroading. I entered the ditch as a Jeep should and exited the ditch as a Jeep should

Went off roading near my house. Found a place with long muddy rock trails loved it. Only problem is I now know I need new fenders because I was rubbing a ton on my stock ones. Any one know good front metal fenders I like the pure Jeep ones and any one know of any extended corner guard from rear to bout door with a fender for an 06 unlimited lj I looked on the web and couldn't find one. Thanks

I have desided to go to 35" tires by maybe Spring time and should better up the gas mileage too. And I already have the clearance to do it.

I will be doing the same thing as well when my tread runs out on current tires I have too much clearance with the 33s with my 4 in. lift it actually lifted it 5 for some reason, idk don't like the look of it...

Although it was just above freezing this morning I gave my jeep a bath, mounted my spare, fabricated a spacer for my third brake light, and went to the local salvage yard to find aftermarket speakers for my bar and center console. I tackled Small details today but they make a world of difference.

The gearing I'm using is 4.88s with a rear locker. I also added last January a 4.5" lift and the Bushwhacker flat fender flares which added another 1-2" of clearance. From a chart I acquired earlier, either on this forum or another jeep forum and it shows a slight increased in gas mileage. Made me think...

I'll keep my all terrains and wheels in storage for like inspections and all. Just in case.

Good luck with your ride!

I got my JKU dirty

The mud starts at 1:45. What a great day in Texas to Jeep. I'm just a beginner but I get a little better each time.
