Since we're doing "Spring in January," just spent some quality time in the garage with a wash, S100 paint cleaner, and a solid coat of Collinite 476 wax. Tomorrow cruising around with no doors sounds about right with 60 degrees and sun...

Nothing big, I just put my antennex on this afternoon. My little three year old was so happy to get to help her daddy do this too. I think that's probably the best part.

Dude my shoulders hurt so frigging bad if it weren't for my wonderful boys I'd been better off dying in that crash? Swear I've had three back surgeries; None of them compare to the pain of almost tearing my arms off at the shoulder. Was not buckled in, flipped tail over nose and a couple barrel rolls, I was holding on for my life and so I could see my boys again. Take my advice if you get a little tired......STAY AT HOME, it's amazing what could happen in the blink of an eye......

With that said, at 50mph or so the spin cycle I was in, I could not believe how well the jeep stayed together? Sure the body was shoved a few inches back on the frame but the passenger compartment held shape, the top didn't rip? Jeeps are the safest vehicle on the road bar none, how do I know? I TESTED THEM OUT.........the hard way....
Be safe people, life's too cool to cut it short!

Air Dam Removal

Removed the stupid Air Dam!!
-took long enough to get around to it
It's a beautiful day, I just got an oil change, my first tire rotation and they fixed the loose parking brake, so I was feeling like doing a little tinkering...

Before:

After:

...and then there's THIS poor thing. -not worth a dam:

Changed the oil! I love lifted vehicles! ...so much easier to crawl under the jeep then my lowered truck.
...then took it for a test spin with some friends.

Prep work for the Raptor Liner today:
- pulled off the roll bar cover and padding
- roughed up the back half with course sand blocks (it sucks, but everyone says your results are all about the prep work)

A bonus was my custom shift knob came in from ECPO:
- I was going to use a Jeep pin, but decided on something different.

Trying to find an annoying rattle I discovered the reason my intermittent hesitation/bucking came back.... The crank position sensor wires were burnt and touching the exhaust manifold

Got all my parts in: metal cloak front and rear tube fenders and rails, currie steering system, moog ball joints and a few other misc things. However upon removal of my rear drivers side spring I found out that my upper spring perch was essentially rusted off. It is literally hanging by a thread. Quick way to stop a productive saturday and turn it into a hey do you have welding equipment saturday. Guess I'll take it to the shop Monday.

Changed the crank position sensor and routed the wire so it can't touch the exhaust manifold again

I'll need a new front Drive shaft, transfer case, clutch/brake/fuel lines and bellhousing just from looking at it on the side of the road.

I added some of my new Yeti Badge Decals to my TJ. And...that Largemouth Bass is part of my new Get The Net series.

Also...I took my old Deer feed spreader...did some fabbin' on the mount...and made it so it could fit in my 2" receiver on my hitch. Then I made the holes a little bigger on the bottom so I could spread salt with it. I then extended the wire for the cigarette lighter plug. Worked great.
