Painted and installed these old skool mesh rock guards I picked up for $20 on just for fun and looks mostly... they were stainless steel... so I glass bead blasted them just to rough em up and clean them and painted them Black with some Krylon. The whole set is the two headlamps, front turns and rear lamps. I kind of dig the look...

Note the irony of the TJ sitting next to the wifes Prius! Lol...

Don't feel bad, about 3 months ago someone stole my front drive shaft while I was at my second job.

Polyfilled Soundbar and Woofer

Polly filled soundbar and woofer housing. Soundbar improvements was only slightly noticable. Woofer was a definite improvement. Total time 20 minutes.

Loaded the doors, windows and side curtains up to take to my wife. It was starting to rain and she wasn't thrilled about getting wet...

On a side not I looked at the pinion and it didn't look like it is leaking.

I tightened my exhaust at the manifold it had loosened and started squeaking.

Adjusted the rear brakes, its been like 300 miles since I replaced everything. I pulled the wheels, drums and adjusted them correctly.

I fixed my KC fog light. The rivets that hold the brackets to the housing had loosened up, so I pulled it off and took a punch and flattened them out. Hopefully they'll last another few months.

Also made sure that the pinion seal was not leaking (its not) and checked all the fluids

It was a busy and productive evening.

No money, plenty of ideas however

Hi everyone.
I'd like to apologise at first for any linguistic and spelling mistakes, since I'm not a native speaker. I come from Greece, born in 1957, retired Special Forces' Officer since 2006.
Due to our economic collapsing, which caused -among others- serious payment deductions and enormous tax increases, I was obliged to sell my 5.7 HEMI Grand Cherokee. Being a "de facto" jeep fan, I eventually got a 97 2.5l TJ with 100 k miles on. Dark blue, black hard top (probably painted), beige leather/lining inside and full/half doors. Good condition overall at a covenient price.
Since no money was left I had to improvise on certain areas, since I was definitely willing to "personalise" my TJ and (a) give it (or her?) a different look (not shinny black), (b) improve cargo capacity and, last but not least, (c) have the capability to take off/on the hard top on my own, since the weather in my country allows for 6 months topless posture.
I know that painting a car without proper preparation is considered a criminal act, I dared doing that however and, incredible as it may sound, it still holds (since April). All other stuff, except from the hoist system which I found somewhere on the Net, are improvised to increase safety (creating a back seat cage) and cargo capacity (both the bike carrier transformation as well as the luggage carrier and its adjustment on the top.
I' ll paste the link here (hoping it shows pictures before/after and all options created) looking forward to youe commenting.
Thank you in advance.

Rotate tires and inspect brakes. I had to clean wheels real good while I had them off. At least I had some "help".
