I cleaned all of the princess stuff out of my Jeep that my daughter tends to leave in the back seat.

Then I changed the battery out on my wife's Santa Fe. That's all the car stuff I've done today. I feel like hell, I think I'm going to crash for a while.

Finished up my Top Hoist

I bought a hand winch and rope from HF and various pulleys ,eye hooks, cable clamps and quick chain links from Lowes

Installed the winch on the wall

Put 2 eye hooks with a piece of galvanized pipe between them as a "pulley'' to get me around the corner of the wall to ceiling

Then put the 6 eye hooks and pulleys on the ceiling(making sure to hit a floor joist) also put the 4 eye hooks on the platform that used to be the hardtop dolly. i also ran the rope through every pulley.

I used a small D rind to transition from the rope to the winch hook.

Last i put my summer windows and soft top on the platform and raised it to the ceiling, I put 2 ratchet straps on to keep it up in case something fails.

You know you drive a TJ when you have the parts for the mod, the right tools for the job, a BFH & still need a Sawzall to get the job done!

DROVE IT!!! After being gone overseas for a month, it was great. Took the wife and daughter on a little topless back road cruise. The weather/temperature was great for it.

After rebalancing and rotating the tires the other day I got a vibration around 50-55.

I watched the tech balance all the tires to "0". So the tire is balanced perfect but still is out of balance.

I've came to the conclusion the tire either has a busted belt or is out of round.
I've had this tire on the jeep 3 times now and taken it back off after a few hundred miles each time. I always figured the tech got lazy on one wheel and didn't get it completely balanced, but this time I watched him closely....

I put it back on the tailgate, I'll see if I can get it replaced.

Last Saturday, my friends and I installed my newly acquired hardtop for the winter. Being that it didn't come with it originally, I purchased a complete wire harness kit from Jeeps Are Us online and will be installing that pretty soon. Will take photos when I get the chance. This weekend I'll be picking up some full doors to complete the winterization for my ride. They're primer black and in need of repair, will get them painted in the summer when they are not in use.

Isn't it pretty? My $250 tailgate decoration!

Took the tire that I've been having trouble balancing to get looked at.
So it appears that I've got a bent rim not sure how, its been a spare its whole life. Must have been bent when I got it. I'm going to see if I can get it warrantied, I think I'm outside the warranty period.

Yes I contacted Dick Cepeck first they told me the had a lifetime warranty, and to contact the dealer I bought them from.
I bought them in December and have had trouble with balancing them since I got them installed.

So I emailed 4wheelparts and they called me within an hour and told me to send it back for replacement or the would send me one out now (charge me now and credit my card back when they received mine back) or I send it to them and then they will send the replacement. I'm going to send it to them first so i don't pay shipping on 2 wheels31x10

That's good news, you'd hate to have to buy a new wheel to replace an essentially new wheel. The stocker looks so tiny, good thing you have the cover on it
