I'm getting less and less impressed with my new soft top...Bestop sailcloth replace a top
I put it down for the first time and it won't lay as flat ad my old top, the plastic that holds it in the door surrounds won't allow it to lay all the way down?

I don't want to bend the pieces that clip in the surrounds because they are "L" shaped... confused

I'm having that same issue
I'm thinking of just taking the soft top off 100% and saying screw running a top till I can get a frameless

I've tried to fold em in and the little buggers won't stay
It's driving me nuts
Time to get an emergency top for storms and ditch the softtop

Went for a ride topless today then when I got home I decided to fix my upper slider window.

The outside trim piece had broken clips so it would flop in the wind...
I took a solder iron and melted it back together

Then I took a heat gun to the top of my door panel, it was starting to turn white like the front edge here

After a few mins of heat.

Bought a homelink garage door opener off ebay to install in the Jeep

I'm putting them on the console behind the shifter

Marked and cut out the hole

Had to sand the back of the console some to thin it enough to allow the buttons to lock back together

Installed the buttons and used a little gorilla glue to keep the box in place

Now I've got to wire everything and reinstall the console

It looks like it just has a + & - wire coming off. Is that it? and you can program your garage opener like a regular Homelink equipped vehicle? If it's that easy, then I'm going to start looking for one!

Was going to replace the transmission mount, as I heard a racket under the Jeep in certain situations.

Instead, found two bolts on top of the skidplate that should have been holding the mount to the transmission.

And I found a stripped bolt hole in the transmission

Thread repair kit ordered. Have Loctite. Ready for reassembly tonight.

I went wheeling about 2 weeks ago and it was muddy. I cleaned my jeep and about 1 week later I noticed oil under the jeep, my steering gear box was leaking oh no. New part was 650.00 but I found on on eBay 300.00 it's on and working good.
