I have a 2012 stock wrangler I want to give it a wider stance (little attitude) and I came across spidertrax 1 3/4 wheel spacers are they what you guys would use 109.00 a set and do you need to do anything else to it ?

Pretty good
Is that grill a metal one or the plastic one?

It's 0.25" x 0.25" welded hardware mesh that I painted black, with black aluminum screening behind it to catch the smaller bugs etc.

I just wanted something simple and effective.. and not to mention cheaper than aftermarket stuff.

Over the past week or so I've done a few small projects...
After replacing my seats a couple of weeks ago I noticed they creaked and squeaked whenever I turned, took off from a stop or hit the brakes. I noticed the little bushings were missing on the new seat brackets.

I pulled them off my old seats and put them on the new, problem solved...

I put a delay wiper switch on, no more flipping wipers on and off!

Thanks! It was actually quite tedious masking the inserts on the wheels. Still trying to decide if I am going to leave them this way or complete the black out. They have begun to grow on me for now. Guess we'll see.

Thanks, but the Jeep is staying OD and Black. Mentioned above, may complete the black out at a later date. However, you are right that it would work well with a silver paint job.

Got caught with the top off in a &*#($*#)ing storm. So technically I cleaned the carpet and detailed the interior/exterior.

damn city around here won't do squat about Farrel and stray cats so as I catch them from now on I'll sell them to the Chinese guy down the street for $5 a piece

Appreciate the compliment. Gonna leave em as they are for now.

Now if I could just figure out how to decrease the backspace without using spacers! 😳

what I did to my Jeep today

Made a pet barrier. I used 2 16" x 6' wire shelf units bolted together. The bolts in the pics are 1/2", over kill, but they fit the holes perfect. 2 shelves
@ $15 each, 1 6' shelf standard $6(to stiffen it up), 3, 1/2 x 1 1/2 carriage bolts, about $42.00.

This is literally one of the funniest things I've ever laid my eyes on. Top 5 for damn sure. Good Lord. Absolutely Epic. Well done.

Found a nail in my tire, luckily it only went in the tread and didn't puncture...

And noticed that my second dorman exhaust manifold in less than 3 months is cracked again. WTF? There has to be something causing it.

Removed my manifold again..!?
It's cracked again in the same spot the last one did, the front tube half way between cyl 1 and 2...

I noticed my engine mount had a gap between the "cage" and the rubber.
Anyone know if this is normal?

wwch99tj,
That sucks...(along w/nails in your tires) what's up with the manifolds, design flaw?
- I looked in my FSM & there was nothing mentioned about a gap.

Edit: Oooppps, I should have looked in the TJ section first...looks like your going to swap em out.

You know you drive a TJ when you have the parts for the mod, the right tools for the job, a BFH & still need a Sawzall to get the job done!

Man I don't know...
I did notice the original manifold has a rib on it that strengthens the outer tubes which the dorman doesn't have (from what I can see)... maybe that's what it is.

Thanks for looking in the FSM...

Well a couple hours later....
New motor mounts and manifold. We'll see how long this one lasts, thank goodness for lifetime warranty parts!

Lost my Military ID out of my shirt pocket while on the way to take my son to the clinic for lab work. Fortunately, I was able to turn around & find it. Got the jeep back on the road & was almost hit head on because on coming driver had "full sun glare" & could not see me = Extremely Hard Stop (Special thank you to Mr. Blane for my Black Magic Brakes). Now I'm dealing with "interior beeping" (no dash idiot lights) that beeps for like a minute, stops, repeats. Found all kinds of things on Wrangler Forum after I finally made it to work from low brake fluid to turn signal on for more than a mile...nothing found seems to apply.

@ wwch99tj: Gotta love Life time warranties. Hey, I looked around google a bit yesterday & found several post/issues for the 2.5 with the dorman exhaust manifold cracking. Hopefully, this will be the last time you have to replace it...but if not "Life Time Warranty"

Changed plugs. Autolite XP series. 2010 jk rubi 4 door. It solved a long time slight misfire problem. However, getting at the passenger side plugs was much to be desired. Had to take battery out and every thing that was attached to the plastic cradle and the cradle itself. Argh. What I thought was a 1 hr job turned into a 2.5 hour job. There were only 3 bolts left over when I was done :o/... Anyway, its back together and running great. 84,798 miles on it.
I know there may have been a easier way to do it but I didn't see one.
