Cool. I like your current spring setup. I bet those rates would be too high for my likes.

You are the first one to notice that! They are a bit stiff . We needed that to set ride height to build everything else. They will be gone tomorrow when I get the "softer coils" delievered

I should have done something along those lines to build mine. Would have made for less headaches. I used an engine hoist hooked up the front to set ride height and it was always in the way. The stuff you learn along the way.

It worked out great as even when we put it on the lift it held everything at ride height and we could drive it around to get on and off the lift.

Update the YJ is complete and I have pics

Now for the fun pics.

To add to what I did for my jeep today I also got my tow rig repaired.

Out with the IFS junk.

In with the new solid D60 axle and the ride is so much better then before.

The truck on the ground.

We did two axle swaps and installed the new suspension on my YJ in the last couple days. Joe all I can say at this point is thank you very much! But I will add in "LETS GO WHEELING THIS WEEKEND!!!!!
Jack thanks for your help also.

Perhaps some time you tell me whats involved with th solid axel set-up for the F-250. I've got an old 92" that I just can't let go even though it's got the 460. I grenaded third gear it about 2 years ago and its just become yard art.

You are looking at the wrong end
The rear has been complete and trail tested for over a year. So no nothing rubs.
I just completed the front linked suspension and coilovers. That is what all the pics show with everything working together. No more front SOA

Thanks for the comments everyone it will be fun this weekend having my jeep back and my tow rig running I am very excited to test everything out. I will have wheeling pics and video out next week of myself. 1BLKJP and Joe from Absolute Offroad.

The factory turn signals work well.

Do you think you can only flex the front or rear to show how the rig works??? They do not work as independent units,

I built mine to work together front and rear and if you look at the pics that is what is shows. HTH

I know that, but most of the pics were of the rear, is what I meant.

Just because the rear is lifted does not mean that is where the flex is. Forget the forklift and look at the suspension.

To explain better. When we put the fork lift on the front tire (and I did show a pic) it had great flex but once we started to drop the fork lift it, dropped about 8" before the rear moved. This shows that front out flexes the rear (which it should). We then moved to the rear with the forklift to max the rear and make the front flex to the max. I makes a better pic and shows the amount of flex better, HTH

Jimmy that thing turned out SICK!!!! Can't wait to finally wheel with you again this weekend. Should be a great place to shakedown the rig also. I think it fork lift tested better than any of us even thought it would. But I think you are right now. You have to start posting all your stuff in the TJ section since your "YJ" is linked and coiled front and rear.

And Penguin smokin old school work buddy.
