Thumbs up What I did to my Jeep today

Let's see what everyone is doing to support the aftermarket Jeep companies of the world. Post up anything you've bought or installed on your Jeep today (ongoing...).

If you've installed it this would be a good place to post up a pic too.

Let's see how long we can keep this thread going.

I'll start: Viking Fastback Soft Top = Ordered

2" .500 walled DOM Lower control arms bought and paid for. Lower control arm JJs bought and paid for. Custom .025 walled DOM tie rods for my hi steer setup.... bought and paid for. It's been an expensive day and I haven't even seen my jeep.

Holy Smokes Andy you are going to use .500 wall for your lowers? Those gotta weigh about what RK arms do. I didn't know that there were rocks big enough in KS to need those? Are you using a weld in bung or are the arms going to be tapped? And what size johnny joints are you using?

Well...

I put my tools, first-aid kit, and straps in the new Jeep.

I also moved my Bike Rack off the old Jeep Today.

I only like doing stuff once.

The JJ's are from currie. I'm using their forged housings with the 1.25x12 shank. I upgraded the inners to use a 5/8" bolt. The arms are drilled and tapped to receive both threads. I will have a right and left hand thread on each arm to make adjustments easy. My JJs should be here tomorrow from currie and my controls arms the day after. I am getting them from Kenneth at http://www.kore4x4customs.com/

Here is a pic. The ones on the left. This is before the wrench flats were added. I'm sure it doesn't do them any kinds of justice.

I'm stoked!

Absolutely. I told Kenneth what I wanted and he built it to spec for me.

I wish.

My upper control arms will be 1.75"x.375 walled DOM. They shouldn't go anywhere either

Kenneth has a full list of products he can make.

Many materials in Stock:
- 2" x .500 wall DOM
- 1.75" x .250" wall DOM
- 1.75" x .375" wall DOM
- 1.5" x .250" wall DOM
- 1.5" x .188" wall DOM
- 1.5" Dia. Chromoly Solid Bar for extra stout tie rods & drag links
- 1.75" Dia. 7075 Aluminum Solid Bar for a strong yet lightweight Control Arm

They aren't just bolt on items. They are for the DIY fab worker. Clayton is a very nice product and very expensive. But they don't make a 4 link setup with triangulated uppers

I don't know, I haven't had any problems other than I need an adjustable one.

Changed the T-stat, topped off the radiator, removed the stupid a$$ flare extension in prep for my rocker guards. Oh, and I took a full size shovel and mounted it on my tire carrier.
