what is my jeep worth?

i need to sell my jeep. i need to buy a pickup truck for work. im wondering what my jeep is worth. jeep runs perfect, it is a shame i need to sell it.

its a 1995 jeep wrangler rio grande. 2.5L 4cylinder. its has 160,000 miles. i put a rebuilt engine (cost me $6,000 a year ago) and engine only has 6k miles on it. I also has some new parts like starter, oil pump etc. I put a lift on it about 5k miles ago (8 months ago). pro comp 2.5 lift with pro comp mx6 adjustable shocks. (5) 31x12.50x15 pro comp m/t tires on (5) mickey thompson lock rims. tires are in good shape. softop. new stereo. new speakers.. still have stock rims and tires.

so what im looking at is..
buaght jeep used......2000
rebuilt engine...........6000
mods......................3200

Go here: Official Kelley Blue Book Site and look it up. Unfortunately the items you've added carry very little value if any at all.

I hate to say it, but he's right.

Think of it this way:
- jeep is 13 years old
- has a 4cyl in it
- has visible rust on it (picture #3 ... unless I'm mistaken)

Would check KBB and Craigslist to find what you could sell it for.

Its a sad truth about Jeeps; you can put in tons of $$$ and not make any of it back.

Nice looking Jeep, try an ad on Ebay or Craigs List. There ought to be someone willing to pay a fair price for a nice looking and well equipped YJ Jeep. You might put an free ad on this site too.

Good luck, if it were mine I'd ask around $4,000 and not turn down a serious $3,500 offer. Click here for KBB.

Regards,
Richard

Best thing to do is look at ebay, craigslist, autotrader, and the internet
to see what comparable jeeps are selling for.
