What is this?

Guys, new to wf, really good stuff here! I bought a 2000 Sahara last year and have had a blast customizing it. My first jeep and I am definitely a convert!
Was finishing up what I swore would be my last project, new head unit, speakers and amp when I encountered this behind the glove box(see pic). It's large, lots of insulated wires, large diameter wiring harness, does not look at all factory, but seems to be a well done aftermarket install. But what is it for/ what does it do? I tried to trace the wires but could not get very far. Anyone seen something like this or have any idea what it could be for? Appreciate any/all feedback.
Rob

From looking at your profile photo, is it for all the lights added on?

Do you have any off road lights? Switches? Might be something like a Spod.

It's not for the accessory lights. I'm not familiar with the term spod, what is that?

We use those same D-Blocks in our patrol cars for adding the lights and sirens. You're gonna have to trace wires and figure out where they go, like the yellow and black on hanging in front of the fuse block?
