What is this part? Tie rod? Knuckle?

I'm replacing the tie rods and knuckles. I can't figure out what this part is called, it's the the knuckle attacked to the drag link. Can it be replaced or is a part of the drag link?

That would be a Tie Rod End, check out Quadratec's web site for an exploded view.
It lists several different ones depending on right/left side.

That is your drag link. I don't believe that end is rebuildable, therefore you have to replace that whole section. The link on the other end (that attaches to the pitman arm) can be replaced.

Also, why are you replacing your knuckles? What are you replacing them with?

You are right of course, I just went out and looked at mine, the passanger end is part of the entire bar, the drivers end is replaceable.

Thanks guys! I'm replacing them because they have 200.000 miles on them and the steering is terribly sloppy. I'm also doing a tie rod flip and lowered pitman arm. The parts are stock replacement stuff I found on eBay $55 for everything 4 knuckles and 3 tie rods. I don't expect the jeep to last much longer so cheapo parts is all ill buy.

Don't put a lowered pitman arm on unless you have lowered the track bar. Having the drag link and track bar at different angles will lead to bump steer. If you are stock...leave it stock.

4 knuckles...and 3 tierods? Why exactly do you need to replace the knuckles ? Ball joints is one thing, but what is wrong with the knuckles? Also, why so many tie rods lol?
