Angry What is wrong with people these days

So I was installing new shocks on my jeep last night and I knowticed someone stole all the off-road lights off my jeep. 2 pairs of KC Daylighters, a pair of cheap knock offs, and a pair of flood lights.

The worst part was they did this during the day and they actually took the time to un-bolt all the lights (took me over 30 min to bolt them in, 6 were mounted above the windshield), snip the wires where they came out the body so I'll have to run all new wires when I replace them and they took all the washers and nuts that came with them.

Thank fully they left my radio, tires and wheels (sitting next to the jeep), winch, cb, and my friends camero RIMS that were just sitting next to my jeep. It seems they only took my lights... the hardest or any of these to steal...

and I knowticed this morning they had the gal to cut the wires to my TPS at the plug so now I have to go buy a new plug and pluce the wires back in...

I hope the police can find who ever did this...

Well.....they must have thought they needed them more than you, what b@$tards I hate thieves & when that happens it's almost a violated feeling to think someone has been able to do it. Sorry Peep, I hope they catch them to

That takes balls to walk up and do it in view of the neighbors. But if they act like they belong there, and not suspicious, most of the time people won't question or take notice.

I had someone break into my house in the mid afternoon once, while my wife was out with our (at the time) 5 year old son. They kicked in the front door, and helped themselves to whatever they wanted? Including unbolting a 40" LCD tv from the wall mount in my sons room. They took 2 xboxes, and all the controllers, batteries, games that were next to them, jewelry box, but knew to leave the tray of cheap stuff that was in it, 4 laptops, and our hamper and kitchen trash can. They used those to haul the loot. Neighbors never noticed a thing through all that...and they carried a damn tv out!

Now I have an alarm system at the insistence of my wife, but the real security comes from video surveillance. The alarm might give her piece of mind while she is home alone, but the video gives me the satisfaction if possibly catching or identifying them. Being able to check in from the road is a nice bonus too.

It doesn't make it better now, but you can get some pretty decent video surveillance cheap nowadays. What's sad is when see the culprit it's likely going to be someone you recognize.

Years ago I had a customized Dodge van. Some guy stole the stereo, and cb out of it while it was parked in the driveway in the afternoon. The kicker is that the people next door were eating outside on their picnic table, and waved to the guy and he waved back to them. They told both the police and me that the guy looked a lot like me, and they thought I was working on my van.

Someone tried to steal the Christmas inflatables in front of my house last year.

A couple of years ago someone broke into both my boys' cars and stole their stereos and sub woofers. Two weeks later, I was doing some late night work, came home around 3:00 in the morning and caught the SOB attempting to steal the new stereos.

I'm fortunate to have never had any theft. I was topless for the past several months & even left sunglasses, hats, gps(stuck to the windshield), and other stuff in plain view when parking at work, home, shopping centers, etc.

I have recently put in a large locking center console though. After seeing some of the stories on here I'll put it to good use next time top is down.

I guess if a thief really wants it... they'll get it!

MAN THAT BITES! Sorry to hear about all these thefts. I wish they can all suffer from extreme dirrhea right..... NOW!

My wife and I had our prior wrangler down the Jersey shore one year. We were topless, well the jeep was, and parked on a side street for a total of 15 minutes tops. When me and the wife return to the Jeep from a quick bite accross the street, we find that all the CDs were tossed around and traces of ice cream all over the seats. I was do freakin upset. There is no where safe to leave your rig open anymore. This was in a pretty nice part of town too. Makes me wanna pack a gun, yet knowing me, I'll just shoot my toe off.

I dont leave anything to chance anymore and make sure I secure everything anywhere I am. I guess it won't prevent some theiving loser from going to town with tools and tearing stuff up. I hope they catch those @$^^@$^#!!!

Sorry to hear the news anyway.
