What music on trails??

So i was out on the trails today and realized i was jamming out to Sublime radio on Pandora...

It got me thinking, what type of music does everyone listen to out on trails? Is it the same as you normally listen to?

Once it starts to get twisty I usually go silent. And once I go silent I usually stay that way so I can tell if something goes boom. Only time I really have anything on is driving to the spot or transitioning between spots.

^this. There is no better sound than tires driving over dirt, rocks, snow or whatever else is on the trail.

It's usually off unless I'm all worked up and feel the need to jam! But if I'm listening to music it's usually CCR out on the trail.

I agree with "silent to hear crunching" while on gnarly parts of the trail, but when just on dirt road/gravel access roads, bumpy washboards and whatever I take to get there, all depends on my mood.

My first trail run was The Scorpions Love at First Sting lol! (I am a child of the 80s at heart lol!)

My second was a redneck run lol. A bunch of Toby Keith. Impartial to "Beer for my Horses". Followed with a little Tim McGraw "Truck Yeah" - my 6 year old cousins daughter in Ohio's favorite song lol!!!

Tomorrow may be Metallica of some version - still undecided. Maybe Nickelback.

If I was listening to music on casual dirt trails, it'd probably be good travel music like Crosby, Stills and Nash.

Soon it will just be the sweet sounds of a 5.2 V8. I usually don't play music when I am in the woods, whether wheeling or hunting.

The CB is the only radio I need on the trails. Between that chatter and the sounds of nature there isn't any room for music.

Well country seems to be the most-likely-to-be-in-a-movie genre, and if you're into it, why not? I'd listen to that on the easier, smoother stuff, and the mud holes.
But I always have something playing quietly, enough so I can hear it (I know all the songs anyways) but so I can still listen to what my jeep is saying to me. I like heavy rock/metal \m/

Best trail song ever: Willie and Leon "Don't Fence Me In". If you're in the wrong place at the right time, you may hear me singing along rather loudly. Of course, it's on an album called "One for the Road." How perfect is that?

I like the sounds of the birds and the bees, the wind in the trees and my I-6. I don't like crunch and scra-a-a-ape. YMMV, and invariably will...

I'm a country boy at heart. If I'm in a mellow mood it's usually George Strait, Randy Traivs, etc.

If in a great mood, Mud on the Tires, Summertime, Boys Round here, etc
