Smile What tire size to get...

Stock my tire size is 255/75-17. I want On/Off-Road All-Terrain tires since I will rarely take this thing off road. I also dont want to upset the dealership where they will give me crap if I need something replaced under warranty and dont want to alter the speedometer much. I want something just a little bit taller. any opinions on a particular tire and size?

With a 4 door JK you can go to 33's and even 35's with no lift. One of the great things about the newer designs. However if you go to a wider tire than you already have it's going to cause you problems in the rear with the upper control arms and the brake lines. So either new rims with more backspacing or wheel spacers are going to be needed.

None of that should cause you any problems with your warranty. They have to show you that the parts you added caused other parts to break.

I also think that if you go taller you will need to take it to the dealer anyway so they can reprogram the ECU for the bigger tires. The older ones you just replaced the speedo gear in the transfer case, not sure about your year though.
I would go to one of the tire sites like bfg or gy and go the tire specs section, get the diameter and width from there for your size then look at the sizes they make and go from there.
