| What websites do you buy from??
This may already be out there but what are your favorite websites to buy your accessories from (bumpers, axles, winches, tops, all your jeep gear)? What sites are good and what sites blow?

Quadretech's selection is second to none but their shipping costs aggravate me.
Dave at Northridge is always a pleasure to do business with.

Absolute Offroad in Phoenix
RedRock 4x4
4x4 Rockshop
Shaffers Offroad
DPG Offroad
Jeeps Are Us
These are places I've used in the past and received well above average customer service. They exceeding my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of these vendors to anyone looking for aftermarket parts.

Keep in mind that just because they don't have it on their website doesn't mean they can't get it or that they don't carry it. Sometimes you have to pick up the phone and call.
I never assume someone doesn't carry something just because it's not listed online. If it's a vendor that I know will treat me right I'll contact them and find out if it's available. I also don't squirm over a few bucks if I know I'm spending my money with someone who will take care of me after the sale.

i've ordered off of dpg the most, then either jcwhitney or quadratec 2nd, and 4wheeldrive some, and i ordered a few things off a guy off of ebay
oh.. and if you get on a couple other forums, and check every other day or so, you can find a good deal on some used parts too..

Joe has some great prices. Dirk is great also.
I like 4wd.com. It seems that quadratec's stuff is ALWAYS more expensive. And 4wd.com has some good deals sometimes (and good prices). They also ship super fast.
I got a good deal on some rock sliders on ebay and still only beat the 4wd.com price by like $15 bucks

and for you the "few extra bucks" may be fine, but i don't have the few extra bucks to give, as of now i have $600 to get me through until summer, so a few extra bucks is like 10% of the money i have!

I actually try to never buy anything off of a website or catalog. I like to keep my wheelin dollars in my local economy. Take care of the guys that take care of us.
There's also a little thing called MAP pricing that everyone is supposed to go by from manufacturers. Matter of fact I know the Northridge boys have been busted on it in the past even when giving free shipping. Manufacturers don't like it when 1 person is low balling everyone else that sells their products either. So taking the time and calling a retailer directly could get you a better price if you form a relationship with them. However if you are just looking for the quick buck and don't want to spend a moment on the phone then MAP and retail is what you are going to get.

They sent me the wrong bumper then made me go through the manufacturer to prove it to them. They then gave me a hard time about sending the wrong item back. I almost threw a fit when they said they were going to charge me a second time for the new one until they got the old one back. They charged me freight on the first one, but was able to send the right one via UPS. I thought for sure they would offer an instore discount on future purchases or maybe throw in the approach roller since they goofed.. but I got nothing.. not even an "I'm sorry".
I am sorry for the rant, but I will never buy from 4wd.com again (regardless of price) and would suggest others not to as well.
Most of my purchases have been from 4x4RockShop.com and Northridge4x4.com.

Quadratec only because it gets shipped quickly. The shipping costs expensive when you order just a gas cap, but for 5 rims, rocker sides, safari top and header channel all shipped for 24 bucks and at my door by 10 am the next day, I'm not one to complain.
