what width rims should i buy

I'm currently running 305-70-16's on my 1997 jeep wrangler. It's the 4.0. I have been told that the rims that are on it now are from a range rover, I'm not sure if that's true. I want to get some chrome deep dish rims now. I'm looking at some maybe mt classics, nothing fancy. I'm gonna put some bfg's 33-12.50-15's. The rims I have now are kinda tucked in the fender wells alittle. They stick out just a little. I want that look of most wranglers where the stick out a little farther. Besides when I make a very hard right turn the rub my shock. I have a 4 inch old man emu suspension lift. I'm wondering what exact rim I should order. I believe I'm saying this right, is it a 15x8 or 15x10. Remember 33-12.50-15's. My buddy has the same 4 inch lift and is running 35's. Thanks very much

If I remember correctly the 15x8 rim can handle up to 12.5 inch wide tires. But at any rate 15x8 is exactly what you should be looking for for the 33x12.5

I went up to Atlantic auto sports today in va. Beach and they were recommending a 15x10 rim. I was more looking to a 15x8 also. I have cash on hand but I want to make the right buy. I'm looking for some chrome rims, and I like the mickey thompson classic look. But they don't have them in chrome. So I was loooking at the pacer, I the csw's I can't remember right of my head because I'm not at home. But they are modular rims.

15x8 will hold a better bead on the tires.

Tire shop guys aren't often Jeep guys and don't consider what you might do with your wheels and tires.... 15x8's will be best for your 12.5" tires...

Can you post a closer pic of your wheels? They look like AEV's....

^^^^ Yes, this. You need 4" bs to clear 12.5's.

Hey I actually live in Chesapeake. Deep creek area. I have heard of jeep air. Is that near lynnhaven. I'm gonna order some rock sliders now. I do want some new rims and tires but I'm kinda shying away because the tires I have on my jeep now are practically brand new. I'm thinking of running them bald first. I want 15x10's all black with a red ring around the outside. And 33-12.50/15's. Probably bfg's.
