1990 yj hardtop.
-parking brake cable
-rust on driverside floorboard(getting black dimond plating for the front)
-studders(thing the carb is dirty...webber 32/36? I think so)
-not enough speakers(2 front)
-spare tire blocks the liftgate(gotta wiggle it up...thats what she said)
-no doors...they were stolen...NO!!!)
Found something wrong with mine today, I tracked down a noise that sounds like something warped around the drive shaft hitting the body, it is coming from the transfer case. Its making me a little nervous, teh main time I hear it is when I'm stopping with the radio off, is this a normal thing for an 01 with a automatic or should I start worrying?
I am finally on board with obama's hope and change thing. I now HOPE that when its all over I have at least a little CHANGE left.

in the nearly three years i have owned my YJ, i have:
rebuilt front brakes
replaced u-joints in front and back
completely replaced steering column
brand new rear diff
new clutch master cylinder
de-rusted and bedlined the tub
replaced the rotted and gross cowl where the windshield folds down
replaced blown front speakers
replaced all dash lights with LED's
installed new fuel pump and relay
replaced cracked signal light lenses
what needs to be done/what is broken:
crack in the windshield (right in front of my Britney Spears decal DON'T HATE. )
dash is pretty much holding on by one or two screws
blinkers/signal lights are so effed, and the right signal light in the dash suddenly isn't working
something weird is going on with the front suspension
possible exhaust leak

desperately need new leaf springs and shocks
pretty much every window in my soft top is damaged or ripped

there's probably more, i'm just blocking it out at the moment. ahh, the joys of owning a YJ.
damn left front universal joint, makes a annoying pop noise with i make a turn up-hill. drives fine, but my dad and i are going to tackle it next weekend. $200 for parts, $0 for labor.(thank god my dad grew up fixing cars for a living lol)
My jeeps problems are the 30" 9.50 all terrains, stock lift, stock motor, stock axles...
Needing a Hemi, Dana 60s, arb air lockers, gears, 3 inch lift, bfg krawler 37's, tummy tuck, king coilovers, bumpers, winch, tube fenders, rocker guards, flush mount tail lights... Sigh this is about a $15,000 or more build sheet soon
Need tires before winter. Developing a spongy feel in the clutch pedal, with a squeak in the pedal after it is driven for a while. All this after I replaced the clutch last year. I'm hoping it is just the hydraulics, and not the clutch I had put in last year.
The stupid wires that connect to the battery keep coming lose so I had to take off the bracket clean it all up clean the battery and where the wires go but the wires back in and tighten it up and it works fine now, before it wouldn't start.
This time last year I didn't know what an oil change was, now that I have a Jeep I'm getting shit done.
