Someone actually referred to me as "Yoda" on the trail, but I thought it was more fitting for my Jeep - it being green and small.

Mine is Skully, because it sounds like the Choctaw word for "money". My wife says I'm spending too much "skully" on it

It's official. GUNKY. It was what I called my uncle when I was younger and when he passed a little over a year ago I was fortunate to be able to purchase my yj. He was a big kid at heart had plenty of toys and loved the 4x4's. So in honor of him it has to be GUNKY!!

Cosmic Charlie. Chaz for short.

I named him after the Grateful Dead song. I was very into them in the early 90's.

"Cosmic Charlie, how do you do/ Struttin' in style along the avenue/ Dum de dum de doodlee do/ come on home your mama's callin' you"

He looked similar to this except he had a soft top. I miss him terribly.

I named my Jeep San-D. Appropriate, given the spelling of my name and for the color.

I live..35 miles from civilization. So, the ups guy shows up. With another shipment of "accessories.
So...where's your Jeep he asks. "Well, Fiat isn't quite as reliable as UPS so its somwhere upnorth on a train......" He darn near fell over laughing.

Compensating.

Some guy started a thread with a poll on another forum and I said what ever the outcome was, I would name it that.

"Sparty Jeep". My daughter and I are huge MSU fans, and she had a dream of us having a green Jeep. I was looking for one so I told her if she could fine one locally, I would get it if it was within reason.
That night we checked craigslist, and there it was!
Needless to say "Sparty" has been a project, but what Jeep isn't, but we love it. Sparty serves us well, and is a helluva lot of fun!

I just got my jeep a few weeks ago and the name just fell into place. Manda - short for Mandarin -due to the color

Sachuga, it was a word that slipped out of my mouth when I tried to say Sausage in spanish on the way home from TDS last year. We all had a laugh all the way home with it and by the time we got home the Jeep somehow got named Sachuga.
We just bought a Jeep Compass for my daughter and it was immediately called Baby Sachuga by her.

My 9 year old daughter named mine after the first time I took her for a ride. She named it "Joey". I asked her why Joey and she said.
"Joey is a nickname for a kangaroo, and your jeep likes to bounce around like a kangaroo, thus his name is Joey.

My parents just bought an 81 Scrambler and my mom asked her to name their jeep for them. She told her, well first I have to see it, then I have to ride in it, then I have to taste it. I was like WTH, you want to taste it? She said, Yep. That way I can get a real good feeling of what to name it. Hahahaha. That's my girl.
